From your hotel, transfer to the cruise port in Vancouver and embark Celebrity Eclipse® for your seven night cruise of Alaska. (LD)
Experience all that Celebrity Eclipse® has to offer on your Alaska cruise. Setting sail north from Vancouver you will discover the dramatic scenery of the Inside Passage. For millions of years the landscape here has been shaped by glaciers leaving a verdant and vivid terrain where mysterious forests blanket the towering mountains. At Icy Strait Point you can go whale watching, learn Tinglit tribal customs, fly high above Port Frederick on a zip-rider or tuck into the ultimate halibut and chips at the Hoonah Packing Company cannery.
The next stop is Hubbard Glacier, where you will enjoy a scenic cruise past the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. Hubbard Glacier calves off icebergs as high as ten-storey buildings and sends blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes. In Juneau you can view the majestic Mendenhall Glacier from the East Glacier Loop Trail, or sail via gondola to Mount Roberts.
Explore the wilderness skirting Ketchikan and tour the great outdoors by foot, bike or zipline. Take a kayak trip across saltwater fjords fringed by forests, keeping an eye out for black bears and porpoises along the way before sailing through the Inside Passage once again and disembarking in Vancouver.
