Transfer from your hotel to the cruise port and embark your Princess ship for your 15 night cruise of the Panama Canal. (LD)
Experience all that Princess Cruises has to offer on your 15 night Panama Canal cruise. First up is Cartagena, the land of El Dorado and historic adventurers in search of the ever-elusive gold. The city is steeped in history and was once the transit port for all the wealth Spain derived from South America. The famous ‘Old City’ is filled with attractions, boutiques and restaurants and still boasts much of its original colonial architecture. From here you will journey onto one of the most unforgettable experiences of your voyage, the Panama Canal, linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It takes approximately eight hours to navigate this 50-mile waterway, allowing you to discover firsthand one of the engineering marvels of the 20th Century.
Transit over, your next stop is Fuerte Amador. This one-mile causeway situated at the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal was created by connecting four small islands with rocks excavated from the Panama Canal. There are several shops, restaurants, and other speciality stores as well as impressive panoramic views of Panama City’s skyline.
From here you will sail on to the ‘Rich Coast’ of Costa Rica and beautiful Nicaragua. Puntarenas is your gateway to Costa Rica’s wonders - and to its capital city of San Jose, whilst Nicaragua offers stunning landscapes, vast cultural treasures, and an intriguing history.
Your last ports of call are to the iconic Mexican Riviera resorts of Huatulco and Puerto Vallarta. Mexico’s newest resort on the Pacific Riviera, Huatulco is a tropical Eden with crystalline waters, coral reefs, and uncrowded beaches. Inland, the rugged coast range is thickly carpeted with rainforest and coffee plantations. Puerto Vallarta has transformed into an international resort and haunt of the rich and famous. Tourists are drawn by its climate, excellent shopping and mile after mile of palm-lined beaches. (BLD)
